Your privacy is important so the information you provide about yourself when using CBYX.NET will only be used to enhance your networking with other CBYX alumni and to assist the CBYX administering organizations (AFS, AIFS, ASSE, AYUSA, CDS, CIEE, and NACEL/OPEN DOOR) and the State Department to promote the CBYX program and its objectives. Your information will not be shared with any other third party or U.S. government agency or department. Data will be used only by authorized program managers for the purposes of program statistics, follow up, or enhancement.

Upon registration at CBYX.NET, individual users may determine whether personal information will be available only to alumni in their administering organization's program, to all CBYX alumni or only to the administering organizations.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online or which is provided to us by the CBYX administering organizations.

Individual users acknowledge that résumés or other content uploaded by users in the Career Network section of CBYX.net will be made available for public viewing on the Internet, and may be accessed by any third party. Users of CBYX.net may delete any content they have previously uploaded at any time.

Communicating with You

Each CBYX administering organization will reserve the right to contact registered alumni in their program regarding news and events or requests for support pertaining to their administration of the CBYX program. The State Department and the website coordinator of CBYX.NET, in consultation with a CBYX.NET Alumni Advisory Committee, also reserve the right to send e-mail communications from time to time regarding updates and changes to CBYX.NET, any technical, administrative or legal notices important to CBYX.NET, and any other issues pertaining to the website or the CBYX program that we consider essential. Individuals are not able to unsubscribe from these notices.

CBYX.NET contains links to other websites. Please note that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other websites and advise you to read the privacy statements of each website you visit which collects personal information. Links to other sites should not be construed as an endorsement of the views therein.
